How do I place an order for a custom portrait?
Simply fill out the order form and upload your photo(s). You can also include details of the embroidered elements you’d like (such as bouquet, boutonniere, hair accessory, tie, or bow tie). A €20 deposit is paid at the time of submission to secure your spot.
When will you contact me after I place my order?
I will reach out to you within 24 hours by your preferred method (email or WhatsApp) to discuss your portrait in detail.
How does the pricing work?
The price depends on the size and number of embroidered elements you choose:
Small (€80): Up to 2 embroidered elements (each max. 1.5 cm² / 0.25 sq inch).
Standard (€100): A bouquet + 2 additional elements.
Special requests: If you have a unique idea or vision, I’ll prepare a custom quote during our discussion.
When is the remaining balance due?
After we agree on the final design, I will send you a secure payment link for the remaining balance (including shipping). To confirm, I kindly ask that you send me a screenshot of the payment.
Can I see the portrait before it is embroidered?
Yes! Once the painting is complete, you’ll receive a photo of the painting along with a digital sketch of the embroidery and a photo of the exact thread colors. You may request adjustments to the painting and embroidery at this stage. After approval, no further changes can be made.
Can I see the final artwork before it’s shipped?
Yes, you can choose to preview the finished portrait, or keep it as a surprise to unwrap when it arrives.
How long does it take to receive my portrait?
The processing time for a portrait is usually 1–4 weeks, depending on my schedule. This does not include shipping time. After we agree on the final details of your artwork, I’ll provide a more exact timeline for when it will be completed, based on your place in my schedule.
Do you offer rush orders?
Yes. If you need your portrait created within 5 days (plus shipping), a 50% additional fee applies.
What if custom orders are sold out?
If I am booked for the next 6 weeks, this will be indicated in the order form. You can contact me directly at contact@loveonthread.com to reserve a future slot (pre-order) for when spots open, usually after 6 weeks.
If your order is urgent, I can move it up in the queue and complete it within 5 days for a 50% additional fee.
